Silje started the post on social media by reminiscing about little Silje and the way she looked at the world: a quiet and careful twelve year old with big dreams. And yesterday, one of those dreams became a reality when her old elementary school dedicated a dressing room to her.

"SOME think I've earned it, and THESE are the people I CHOOSE to listen to"

What stands out in the post, is that Silje is grateful for the honor even though she feels like she hasn't accomplished as much as some of Norway's biggest stars in sport. She says she hasn't reached her goals yet, but knowing that the place where it all started for her has her back, means the world to her. "SOME think I've earned it, and THESE are the people I CHOOSE to listen to," she says.

"Dare to dream"

Silje also gave a speech, that brought her back to that twelve year old again: inexperienced and insecure. But it went great and she left the audience with a very meaningful message: "Dare to dream. Because if you are yourself and stand for what you believe in, everything is possible."
