Anticipation is rising for the start of the very first Inter-Continental Cup (ICOC) competition. This new second-tier league, the stepping stone into the World Cup, replaces the abolished Continental Cup and FIS Cup. The original season opener was original scheduled to take place on the hill in Ljubno, but unfortunately that hill got destroyed by the devastating storm and flood that affected Slovenia.

But now it's finally time to strap on the skis and compete on the Midtstubakken this weekend. Nine talented young athletes have been selected to represent Norway, including the two Hopplandslaget rookies: Ingvild Synnøve Midtskogen and Kjersti Græsli. The competitions will be held on Saturday and Sunday morning.

Team Norway:

Frida Berger, Røykenhopp

Nora Helene Evans, Fossum IF

Kjersti Græsli, Tydal IL

Marie Liane, Kongsberg IF

Josefine Løken, Askim IF

Ingvild Synnøve Midtskogen, Idrettslaget Try

Nora Midtsundstad, Våler IF

Mathilde Årva Selbekk, Fossum IF

Heidi Dyhre Traaserud, Heddal IL
